Online store development

Ecommerce website development in Nigeria, for stores that take payment in Naira

Musskart Lab builds online stores for businesses across Nigeria: a catalogue your customers can browse on a phone, checkout through Paystack or Flutterwave, and a dashboard where your team manages orders and stock. Online stores start from ₦500k, quoted in writing.

What the store includes

Everything between “add to cart” and “order delivered”

A store is more than a product page. Customers need to find things, pay without fuss and know what happens next, and your team needs one place to run it all.

  • A catalogue with categories, photos and prices, designed for phones first
  • Checkout through Paystack or Flutterwave, so customers pay in Naira
  • An order and stock dashboard for your team
  • Customer accounts, delivery options and discounts
  • A WhatsApp button for questions before a customer buys
  • An editor, so you can change products and prices yourself

Before you build

Do you need a custom store yet?

Not every business needs a custom store on day one. If you are testing an idea on a small budget, a WhatsApp Business catalogue and a one-page site can serve your first customers, and website builders such as Shopify or Wix can work for a simple shop, though you rent the store and leaving usually means rebuilding it.

A custom store pays for itself when selling is the business: you want your own ordering flow, stock that updates itself, delivery rules for your areas, or a design that sets you apart. Our guide to what a website costs in Nigeria compares builders and custom sites in plain terms.

Payments

Paystack or Flutterwave, and who pays the fee

Customers pay through a payment gateway, and the gateway charges a fee on each local payment. That fee is set and charged by the gateway, not by us, and it changes from time to time. Our website cost guide lists the current Paystack and Flutterwave rates with the date we checked them, so you can work out what each sale will really earn.

The gateway account is in your business’s name, so the money reaches your own bank account and the store stays yours. Selling online also brings duties, such as a privacy notice, clear prices and refund terms. The same guide has a section on the rules your website must follow, with official sources.

How a store project runs

From the product list to the first order

You see the design and a working store before it goes live, and place a test order yourself.

  1. Scope and quote

Tell us what you sell, how you deliver and how customers pay. We send a written scope, a timeline and a price in Naira.

  2. Design and catalogue

We design the store for phones first and set up the categories, product pages and checkout steps, which you approve before we build.

  3. Build and test

We connect the payment gateway, build the order and stock dashboard and test the whole journey on real phones.

  4. Launch and hand over

We put the store online on your domain, show your team how to run it and hand over the code and every login after final payment.

Questions

Online store questions

Describe what you sell and we’ll tell you what the store would need.

Ask on WhatsApp
How much does it cost to build an online store in Nigeria?

At Musskart Lab, online stores start from ₦500k and usually run up to ₦2.5M. The number of products, the checkout rules and the delivery options decide where a project lands, and your written quote gives the exact figure. See all our prices in Naira.

Which payment gateways do you connect?

Paystack or Flutterwave. Customers pay in Naira, and the money goes to the account in your business’s name.

Can I manage products, orders and stock myself?

Yes. The store comes with a dashboard for orders and stock and an editor for products and prices, so your team can run it day to day.

Can I start with a website and add the store later?

Yes. Many businesses begin with a business website and add the store once orders justify it. Tell us the plan and we will build the first stage so the second can follow.

Can you also build a mobile app for the store?

Yes. Android and iOS apps start from ₦2.5M and are built from one Flutter codebase. See mobile app development.

Who owns the store and its code?

You do. Once the final payment is made we hand over the source code, the design files and every account in your name.
