A hotel system touches money, guests and a calendar that must never be wrong. These are the places where projects go wrong.
No double bookings
Two guests must never be sold the same room. If you also sell rooms through booking platforms, decide how availability stays the same everywhere.
Deposits, balances and receipts
Decide what a guest pays to hold a room, what is refundable and what is charged at check-out, and record every payment against the stay.

Custom or ready-made?
When ready-made hotel software is enough
If you run a small guesthouse with a handful of rooms, a ready-made booking product may be all you need, and it will cost less than a custom build. We will say so.
